Compensation wires are wires that have the same thermoelectric electromotive force value as the matched thermocouple within a certain temperature range (including room temperature). They are used to connect the thermocouple to the measuring device to compensate for the errors caused by temperature changes at their connection with the thermocouple. Compensation wires are divided into two types: extension type and compensation type.

Usage conditions

1. Working temperature:

Heat resistant: * * * High temperature of 200 ℃ and 260 ℃.

Generally used: * * * High temperature of 70 ℃ and 105 ℃.

2. * * * Low ambient temperature:

Fluoroplastic insulated and sheathed cables: Fixed laying -60 ℃, non fixed laying -20 ℃.

PVC insulated and sheathed cables: Fixed laying -40 ℃, non fixed laying -15 ℃.

3. Permissible bending radius:

a) Compensation cables with copper tape shielding should not be less than 16 times the outer diameter of the cable;

b) Compensation cables for other structures should not be less than 10 times the outer diameter of the cable.
